Beaded Boards Abound

It's been a while since my last post. Things have been moving along, albeit a little slowly, but we're planning to make some big progress this month.

It's been all Amy through July. She painted all the walls in the new porch area.

Then she put all the bead board up on the ceiling.

Then she painted the ceiling.

And then she put vertical bead board on the old, old, porch support beam.

I finally got my butt in gear and put the soffit up around the outer edge of the roof.

Then we put the trim along the bottom of the porch roof support beam, and Amy quickly followed behind with vertical bead board 

Then I added trim to the top side of the roof return.

I had to taper it so it fit to the bottom edge of the roof decking.

Our plan is to screen the porch in. We thought we were going to be doing something new and different on our house, until we found THIS behind some corner bead trim! So as it turns out, we are still just putting back something that has been here in the past.
