Work on the porch continues. I decided to rebuild the framing for the main part of the new porch roof before I tackle old roofs in the west end of the porch.
This is a small flat roof on the west end of the porch. A lot of water ends up here from a bedroom to the south, the foyer to the west, and the dining room to the north. This has been a problem area for the house for a long, long time.
The bottom of the bedroom window frame and sill is completely rotted away. I had put foam board and spray foam in here a few years ago as a stop gap measure.
The bottom of the foyer window is also in bad shape. I fear this is going to get messy.
Amy was doing a little gardening and uncovered an old brick walkway heading north from our side porch!
