Amy has been working hard. The west and south sides of the old bathroom addition are finished, with my reproduction corbels in place.

A big improvement over the original, yes?

I have started removing the brick work from the old back porch. What passed for a footer back in the day - a flat rock and some cement. It's still all stuck together though!

This section of wall suggests to me that a step or two off of the porch used to be here, about 15 feet from the kitchen door. Perhaps when the kitchen was detached, there was a door in the wall at this spot?
